Eileen Keane Statement My work is inspired by organic forms abstracted mainly from landscape studies. I use a layering of textures and text, and I have been working on imagery inspired by the bog near my home in Newbridge- Mouds bog. CV Artist, writer, and former teacher of art and English at second level. Studied at N.C.A.D. and U.C.G and still learning! Founder member of Leinster printmaking studio in Clane, Co. Kildare. Currently involved in a collaborative international project with a Welsh printmaking studio, with exhibitions in Wales, England, Dublin and Australia, from 2009- 2011 Recent and upcoming exhibitions: 2010-2011 a series of 8 prints exhibited as part of a touring exhibition of work in the 'Le Cheile' project touring arts centres in South Australia. January 2010: Rhyll, Wales, Group Show. April/may 2010: L.P.S. Group Show: ‘Bog 50x 70’, Athy Arts Centre May 2010: local Group Show, Curragh race course. July 2010: ‘Hopkins at the general stores, artists respond.’ 6 artists work in mixed media. Monasterevin Arts Festival
