Judith Henihan

Judith Henihan Statement What I’m working on at present are Fairy Story themes. I love these themes because they are the genesis of all stories, the battle of good over evil with all the necessary drama thrown in! They have a place in all our memories since childhood, etched (if you like) in our minds eye. CV I graduated from the National College of Art and Design with a degree in fine art painting and have worked exclusively in the area of Landscape, Life Drawing and Portraiture until very recently. I have had three solo exhibitions and exhibit in several galleries in Dublin, Kildare and Wexford. I have only recently started printmaking and am concentrating on the area of Drypoint at present. Print has opened up a whole new world of image making to me and I see it as an excellent medium for portraying ‘the narrative’. There is quite a different, possibly more ‘intimate’ feel that one can get from an etching than a painting and I like to use this to ‘tell the story’.
